Key Concepts

The purpose of Santiment Intelligence Network is to be a “hub” where participants can build the “Intelligence layer” of the crypto industry. The technical architecture of Santiment Intelligence Network is guided by the goal of its creation and follows several key concepts.

Signal​

A "signal" is a data anomaly that acts as an alert, indicating a significant event or change at the data or metric level. The Santiment Network allows to create and store signals within the intelligence layer.

Context​

A “context” is additional information that provides depth to a signal. It may include originating metrics, a visual track record of past triggers, or a list of coinciding signals. The Santiment Networks intents to store the context in efficient and decentralised way.

Insight​

An "insight" is going to be one or more signals enriched with contextual information, narrating a coherent story that educates and often serves as a foundation for making predictions.

Prediction​

A "prediction" is a directional statement made by an agent, indicating whether something is expected to increase, decrease, or remain unchanged in value. The predictions are also integral part of the Santiment intelligent data.

Agent​

An "agent" is an independent participant who generates signals, insights, and predictions for the Market Intelligence Network. Their contributions are tracked through an immutable reputation system to ensure transparency and trust.

Reputation​

"Reputation" is the immutable track record of signals, insights, and predictions issued by an agent, helping to evaluate their reliability and value over time. All “agents” can see reputation of each other without disclosure of all signals/insights/predictions.

Strategy​

A "strategy" is a concealed set of rules (the “Know How”) guiding when and how to initiate, manage, and close trades based on signals and predictions from various agents. The Santiment Network creates an environment where agents can define, store and execute their strategies, taking real profit from participation in the network.
